Thanks Sonja! Don't know how you found this, unless you had it saved somehow. I recently told a friend about it, and told him to go to CatholicOnline and type in my last name in the upper search box...but he couldn't find it. I did the same and it says "no matches found." I figured that Deacon K. maybe did a spring cleaning to free up space. Please share any info you might have on how it can be called up. Thanks...
Actually, Len, that's why I didn't post it here sooner. I've typed in several things before and couldn't find it. I found it Friday after several searches and can't really remember which one it was that discovered it. I tried Lent, several spellings of your name, and Detroit. I think it was Simon of Cyrene in the search box that finally brought it up, and then I believe I had to look for it in a list.
My sensitive writer's ego thought the Deacon didn't like me anymore. Of course, I brought on the doubts myself by writing him an aside email trying to explain something from the Book of Revelation... forgetting of course that normal people can see how my abnormal brain comes to some conclusions. Thanks for posting me here... I feel at home. I shall call you Princess of the Abnormal. (In contemplative Catholic spirituality, I'm pretty sure that's a compliment). Blessings...
I teach the Scriptures because the Word of God is whom I love and need, and I am compelled to offer Jesus to every soul who looks for Him there. Also contributing author for Catholic Online, I write and teach regular studies, home school two children, and live in Tennessee. I and my husband of 16 years adore one another (most days) and our two sons.
Besides devotion to the Sacred Writings and their Author, I delight in a pot of apricot tea, my rocking chair and quilt on the porch of my farmhouse, the English countryside, Jane Austen, Charles Dickens and Michael Crighton novels, and long hikes through the Blue Ridge Mountains.

Finally, Len, my "big thing"! I'm a princess! We'll have to tell Dave :-)
"Princess of the Abnormal" - LOL!!! I love it! I too immediately read it as a compliment. Birds of a feather???
Peace,
Dave
BTW: seriously - great article, Len. May we all have the strength and perseverance to help Simon with his task!
